Date with Heidi

After an eventful time at Urban Outfitters. We stopped at satelite for some child size hot chocolates. They were super good, accept my lid was defective and i kept dripping it down my scarf and making Heidi think I was just gross. We also went to Uptown and looked at furniture and decorations we wanted for our future homes. It was all around a really good time.

Oh gosh!

I held it i held it! Dillon comforted me during this time, while Joshua sent encouraging words, such as 'think of it like a cute rat with a chef hat.' i couldnt have done it without them.

I'm getting braver!

Im trying to warm up to the idea of this rodent living in my home. its already been like a month. So to start im trying to just pet it. But it still freaking me out a bit. Josh just told me to try and hold it. We'll see if I get brave enough.

I just had a serious freak out...

... I went to grab the computer mouse to show Dillon somethin. But i was rudely startled when his pet rat was there instead. Don't worry i didn't touch it. Thank the Lord.

November 3rd

That would be the date this milk expired. Can you see the chunks?!!

Candy Land!

I played Candy Land with Jenna today. I won the first two games. Thanks to Queen Frostine. she was the first card i picked up and moved me all the way to the end of the bored! I think I used all of my luck on that game though, cause next round i was so far and i pulled the stinky gum drop card which moved me all the way to the beginning again. you just never know what will happen next with this game.

I love when we get big displays!

The bigger the display the bigger the box! The bigger the box the more fun for Megan and Tamara!

Whats that noise?!

That noise is rap!!! and Ces proceeded to dance homie style for his nephews.

Finally Levi!

The two things I was excited most about for this night, was the Glorious Unseen, and watching Levi McCallister do his poetry. We were expecting him like maybe 8:45-9 ish. But he didn't, so then some guy said at 10 for sure he'd be on. That still didn't happen. Finally about 10:45 -11 he came on. And he was so awesome! He was really passionate, and poured out his heart and struggles and love with tons of strangers, to show them what Christ can do in your in life. I gained alot of respect for him. And he made me cry.

Brandon Scott

After hearing lots of not so good screaming, this guy Brandon Scott came on! And he was all acoustic!! He was really awesome too, and sang of simply Jesus's great love for us. It was super cool, check out his myspace or something!

Spirit Fingers!

So, I went to the "Glorious Unseen" show. I put " " because they weren't headlining it. But thats why I went. Anyways. There were alot of bands there, that sucked real bad. But this band, Falling Star, they were super legit. And loved Jesus alot. Plus I just really liked that this guy made all these "hardcore" kids do spirit fingers before he would sing.

Nothing makes a girls night at Stepha and Jena's like ice cream, green chili dip, magazines and the new Taylor Swift cd! (Thanks Gina!). Of course there's also Stepha's obsession with nail polish. And Jena's coconut bra.

The Joys of Children

Julia left her goop in my car while we were in the mall.... This was the end result, which is exactly what I told her would happen.

Hott Shoes!

I'm at the mall with Julia and Samantha. We all voted yes on there pumps.

Afternoon in Uptown with such a dear friend

After some scrumptious lunch at CPK, Ariel and I hit up the Apple store and finally Nestle Tolle House for some peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. This is the way to a girls heart.

Good Times

Ariel and I finally got to open together today! We made hot chocolate!!! SwissMiss is just really good. And tastes alot better than what our other options were...... Anyways, I think Ariel may have added a little extra flavor to hers, because she is a bit loopy...

Would you give this to your child to play with?

Okay. In all honesty do you think this thing is cute or creepy? Alysia and I couldn't agree, so I told her we would let the world decide. Well world? What do you think?

So i have been in the drive through Commercial lane at Wells Fargo for about 15 minutes now, so I could get change for work. Its over all been a great experience, i've just been playing with this popper and it flies all around my car! The only sad thing about this is that noone else is here to enjoy it. Its just me and Lil Wayne.

This has to do with the man now running our country. I know this is long, but I promise you that you will be blessed by reading it!

“Blessed be the name of God forever and ever,
For wisdom and might are His. And He changes the times and the seasons;
He removes kings and raises up kings(Daniel 2:20-21)

On the morning after the election…I wonder how this e-mail finds you. Maybe some are confused, others cautious and perhaps even a few excited. I have three things on my heart, I believe from the Lord, that I would like to share with you.

One – Today, I call you to see the hand of God.

Here in Daniel 2 – Daniel is reminded that God is forever. Today, God is on His throne, as He has always been…and always will be. Nothing can alters that. This is something you can rest in.

Further when it comes to “change”, perhaps one of the magic words in this last election season – change comes from the Lord. That is what our verse tells us. He changes the times and seasons”
On top of that – ultimately, it is God who puts rulers in place and removes others. “He removes kings and raises up kings” I realize there are many questions that can raise – but nonetheless – it is true. Understand that God is orchestrating history…it has a course…and a final end. (if you read all of Daniel 2 – you would see that the course of history ends in the eternal reign of Christ!)

Today, I call you to see God – to see His hand in our world and lives.

Two –Today, I call you to give honor to whom it is due.

Let every soul be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and the authorities that exist are appointed by God…Render therefore to all their due: taxes to whom taxes are due, customs to whom customs, fear to whom fear, honor to whom honor. (Ro 13:1-7)

One of the dangers that face some believers this morning…is that we would misrepresent God. We would spew our own hearts – confused, bitter and even angry. Such is a misrepresentation of who we are supposed to be. I plead with you in conversations with any and all – that your heart be submitted to Him who appoints every leader – God. May we truly live today with a heart that represents the truth of who our God is.

Today, I call you to give honor to whom it is due.

Third – Today, I call you to prayer.

Therefore I exhort first of all that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, for kings and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and reverence. For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. (1 Ti 2:1-4)

We are called to pray for our leaders – that is what God would have us do. Yet the aim, is very clear. That we may lead a quiet and peaceable life. Don’t misread that to mean comfortable or at ease. The verses that follow, some quoted above and the also the verses that follow those (v.5-7), clearly show that the real point is the gospel. The quiet and peaceable is not comfortable, but praying for the best possible circumstances to present the gospel. Crying out that God would orchestrate our world to bring many more to Himself. Perhaps some of the changes that are coming in our world will produces this far better than things we might have chosen. Perhaps. But one thing is sure….it is this that we are to be praying for today – for the gospel to go forward in power.

Today, I call you to pray for our nation….for a move of God in our midst. May we this day, show the character of God in this time.

Please read this next verse and make it what we pray for, what we seek to live today.

Remind them to be subject to rulers and authorities, to obey, to be ready for every good work, to speak evil of no one, to be peaceable, gentle, showing all humility to all men. (Tit 3:1-2)

Jim

High School Musical 3!!

Ray, Rachel and I all went to see HSM3 tonight! It was Ray's idea. While I was standing in line to buy my ticket, the couple in front of me kept joking about buying tickets to see it. And than said how dumb it would be. Apparently every other person who hit up the theatre tonight agreed because we were the only three people in our theatre.....which only made the experience so much better! It was pretty much an amazing movie. I won't deny it.

Oh, btw. OBAMA is president!! Wooo Hooo. I took my McCain sticker off as soon as I got out of my car. I guess we will see what the Lord is going to do right?!

Adventures all around

I took five children bowling today. It was a blasty blast.

Homework!

Julia and I (who is in eighth grade btw) are working on converting measurments... For the sake of her grade I really wish I would have cared in math class. She has the same attitude I did when I was in middle school, I believe her words were: "Oh well, who cares if its wrong i'm not going to get far in life using measurments anyways..."

Rock the Vote!

I just voted for our next president! Please be proud.

So proud so proud!

Look who got there cap and gown today!

Not a good surprise!

Why did i pack so much?! This is what i saw when i got off the plane.

And we're home!

Gina picked us up from the airport! Thanks Gina.

Hey hey Denver

We didn't eat when we got up today, and there was time while we were at LAX, so we were forced to wait until we got to Denver to eat. The line for Quiznos was crazy long, so we grabbed some candy bars to eat while we waited.

Heading to Denver.

Im hungry

Not Pretty

So the LA airport is really disapointing! You would think that it would be nicer with how many people go in and out of this place.

LAX

So I just said goodbye to Joshua. But its okay because we'll see eachother in 3 weeks! Well. We are at the airport now. We just waited in line to check in for about 45 minutes. But its okay because Jason Castro was right in front of us. While checking in an elderly woman slipped on some water and gave everyone a scare. But no worries, she is okay and the water was cleaned up. Now we are waiting with security with a lovely LARGE dance team behind us. Large as in alot of people not the people are large. Thats rude.

'This Music Gets Me Pumped'

I love this boy.

I apologize for lack of blogging this weekend. Today, Joshua and I had some nice Jesus time today with all the ducks. And than we had some fish sticks and french fries, gotta love cafeteria food. Now we are all crammed in Chris's car to go to the beach. More updates to come!
